Given that the housing is limited, a small amount of housing will be provided on a first-come first-serve basis for interested interns. Students will live with other American Red Cross interns on the George Washington University campus which is located 1 block from the American Red Cross National Headquarters. Once accepted into the program, interns will have the opportunity to apply for this housing. Each intern is assigned a mentor who provides advice on appropriate business practices and career coaching. Significant projects are presented to interns that require students to apply their previous knowledge and skills in an actual work setting. By taking part in this experience, students greatly enhance their chances for securing employment at an organization or corporation after graduation.
